CHARM3D/HARP provide global performance analysis including fully coupled dynamics of multiple hulls, respective mooring systems including hawsers or tendons, and various risers in time domain. There is no limit to the number, shape, type of the hulls and various types of connections between mooring-riser system are applicable from linear spring to pneumatic tensioner or MR damper. Hydrodynamic interactions between proximate floating bodies are included up to the second order, and the mooring-riser systems are realized by nonlinear dynamics. Other complexities such as rapid wave heading change, large extension of synthetic mooring lines, and winch dynamics are applicable. Moreover, the analysis can be extended to anchor dynamics or structure dynamics on the decks. The numerical tool has been validated over 15 years against various types of experiments, numerical studies, and analytic solutions.
